Tortoise or the Hare?

Set A Pace

My runner friends will agree with me on this statement.  In order to finish the race, it is important to set a good pace.   The pace made early on will determine how well you finish the race.  Now that the year has started, have you set a good pace?

What is a Pace?

Pace is defined in Merriam-Webster dictionary as “the speed set in which someone or something moves”

YOU determine the pace in which you want to move.  This means you determine the rate and speed you want to get healthy. I know people who have lost 100 lbs in a year and some it took 2 years to get 40 lbs off.  Each person was successful in their weight-loss, but they had to determine the pace in which was workable for them.

There are tons of information about weight-loss on the internet.  It can be overwhelming at times but take this information and decipher it for a workable plan for your life.  Set a pace you can run and be comfortable maintaining for the duration of the year.

The main point to running a marathon is to FINISH.   Most marathon runners are winners because they have trained their bodies to do something the average person can’t do which is run 26 miles.

While on this journey remember this is your race.  Your main goal is to compete with yourself and push yourself to your limits. Do YOUR very best and be YOUR very best SELF.
