The Dress: Trends for the Unique Bride

What’s hot?  What’s not in 2015?

According to the Bridal Guide, 2015 is all about individuality.  Making it YOUR OWN.  The brides of 2015 will incorporate personal style into their wedding themes.  The most popular statement, I hear during initial consultations, is “I want something different, something NO ONE ELSE has used.” Well, there are very few ideas that have NEVER been used before during a wedding and reception.  Even if a bride think  she has an original idea, 9 times out of 10, someone else has used it or something very similar to her idea. My interpretation of this statement is every bride longs for her special day to be ALL about Her.  It's the bride's hidden desire to see their personality displayed in every aspect of her special day.  The wedding should represent her individual style, beliefs, relationship with her fiancé, family traditions, etc. The infusion of traditional wedding designs and personal style will be the most popular wedding trend in 2015.

The Dress

What kind of dress should I wear?  I want it to be different.  A  fast growing trend that has been making strides for the past couple of years are Non Traditioanl Bridal Gowns. Non-Traditional?  Yes, many brides are choosing wedding gowns of wide variety of the color sprectrum. I had an opportunity to see my first BLACK wedding gown and it was absolutely gorgeous!  The style was ballroom and it was FULL of Bling!  In last few years I've had brides to choose Non-tradional Bridal Gowns.   My brides have chosen a BOLD colors.  For instance, the groom had an obsession for Camouflage Print.  He desired for the bride to wear a camouflage dress, but she wasn't hearing that!  Her compromise was to incorporate the use of all the camouflage colors.  Her bridal gown was an “Army Green” color and the groom wore a brown tux with of course Camouflage tie and accessories. The wedding represented both of their personalities and each one of them were extremely happy with the color choice of the dress.

If You are planning a wedding 2015, don't be afraid to STEP out of the BOX!  Be Bold! Be Confident! Be Daring! It taks boldness and confidence to go against what past traditions has modeled as the “NORM”.  Your wedding day should make a statement and represent your love for one another.
