Use It or Lose It

How Fitness Plays a Key Role in Bone Density

While studying to become a Group Fitness Instructor through ACE, I discovered the skeletal systems replaces itself every ten years. The tissue in the bone is constantly rebuilding.  As we age, the body adjust to maintain its current fitness level.  As children, our bones are less brittle and agiler since the bones are still growing. Our bones adapt to our mobility once we reach adulthood.  The more we move, the stronger our bones become.

As I prepare to leave the decade of my 30’s, it is imperative I build a solid fitness program. My desire is to be active in my golden years. My health is a priority.  I'm making a conscious effort to ensure my bones stay strong and dense.
