How Do You Measure Up?
It is
absolutely frustrating when you are working out so hard and the scale doesn't move. This causes many to give up and stop with their fitness program.
MEASURING SUCCESS HAS TO BE MORE THAN
WATCHING THE SCALE MOVE!!!!!
I learned early
not to judge my success by the scale. When I first started working out, I worked
out like crazy and the scale didn't move. This became frustrating. A friend
suggested I take my measurements. Oh My
Gosh! I had lost tons of inches. I was gaining muscle mass. Muscles weigh more
than fat. The scale wasn't moving
because of this reason. I've since learned
it is easy for me to build muscles. I took
a weight lifting class in high school. Muscle
memory is what causes me to tone up faster than others. This revelation has become vital to my
journey. Taking my measurements along
with trying on clothes help keep me motivated on my journey.
Go to Wal-Mart
or Target to buy a measuring tape. It will be your best friend. MyFitnessPal is
a great tool to use to log your measurements. The application lets you generate
reports showing progress of your measurements.
