Dancing, Singing Loud off key, Twirling in the streets in St. Thomas USVI was the absolute best way to celebrate Franny J’s retirement! I knew the moment we stepped off Spirit Airlines this trip would be life changing for me.

Senior Citizens Parade
The Village at Night!
The Village was the place to experience the best of St Thomas Carnival nightlife. USVI Tourism Board hosted concerts, carnival rides, and the best local food booths in the village. Many popular Caribbean bands performed each night. My favorite band of the week was the Spectrum Band. Listen to the Band Now
J’ouvert Troupe Parade
My most exciting experience of the week was the J'ouvert Parade. Lisa Donovan and the VI FETERS threw a great party. The Feters offered seafood chowder and fully stocked bar to their troupe members. By the time the parade ended at 11, we had walked 10 miles in a drunken stupor.
Children and Adult Parades
The gorgeous costumes which are synonymous with Carnival are at the parades. Competitive dance and steel band groups compete for Governer's Honors and bragging rights.
