That Chic: Love & Being Fly part 2
OMG
People!! My husband & I took so many cute pictures for Valentine’s
Day. I mean I was fly. I was posing like
a super model and everything. I was so
excited to share them with the world but wouldn’t you know it I soon as got
ready to post on here my stupid phone goes kaput. People, who owns a regular
camera these days?!! So this time you will have to use your imagination of me
standing on the red carpet doing my Miss America wave. I had a fantabulous time with my chocolate
hunny bunny…hehehehe…my mind went to the gutter…Let me get off here before I
start telling all my business. Please
enjoy the post of my hair regimen leading up to my HAWT Date…

Every woman knows the hair is the most important thing to a woman
and her image. No wonder the proverb of “A woman’s hair is her crown and glory”
is women’s testament. Your hair can make
or break your mood. Wake up with a bad
hair day and my whole day is thrown off. When my hair is on point, the whole
world is my runway!!
Now I am natural. Natural means how the hair grows out naturally
from the head. For minorities, it means to be without a relaxer or the creamy
crack. I wear my hair in its curly
natural state most of the time but I do enjoy the option of flat-ironing my
hair every now and again. (Long Hair don’t Care). My regimen is pretty basic. I
will be deep conditioning my hair with Shea Moisture products. (I am not paid
to give endorsements but if they want to send me some free products, I am game)
I have fallen in love with the curl enhancing smoothie, and the hibiscus milk.
After co-washing my hair, I always seal with Shea butter. True Shea butter is
from Africa, it looks like a block of butter. I recently discovered my hair
loves castor oil, oh yes she does.
Now I have given you my regimen and washed, conditioned, oiled and
buttered up my hair. It is time to be on the hunt for a hairstyle for my date.
Don’t let anyone tell you natural hair is messy and untamed. Natural hair can be very elegant, I am a fan
of the twist out, the twist and pin, the braid out...and I am in LOVE with a
bun. Somehow pulling my hair up ever so gently into a bun looks absolutely
astonishing to me. It is simple but amazing. When I can't figure out what to do
with my hair, I start with youtube, yes I am a youtube junkie. You guys know I
love free, so why not get your hair & make-up ideas for free.
Here are some of favorites -NaturallyCandi, BlakIzBeautyful, SimplYounique, xGOLDn, and Ambrosia Malbrough. These ladies are my personal hair and my
make-up consultants!!! They didnt cost me a penny.
Once
I have made my plan, the look, the theme, hair and makeup. I am off to put it
all together.
(Oh the HorroR!!! No pictures to show you!!!)
I am not a Hairstylist; I just play
one on TV… LOL!!
