Goal Setting and Weight Loss

The first step to losing weight is making the decision to get healthy. The next step in the plan is to set goals. It is important to make long term goals and short term goals. The key is write these goals down so when you are having an emotional breakdown moment over the half of pan of brownies you eaten, the goals you made will help get you back on track and not lose focus.

TIPS For Setting Goals

Goals should be clear and attainable...

Ex...I want to lose 50 lbs in a year

Goals should have a reward system that doesn't contain food
Me After I shed My First 25 lbs

Ex. Once I lose the weight I will treat myself to a photo-shoot

Create a motivational wall with inspirational sayings

Ex. I love quoting to myself..."I am built Ford Tough or Army Strong." These two mottoes stand out to me because each organization brags about being better than just tough or strong.  They claim to be the highest standards of tough and strong.  When I am struggle to push through a workout, I remind my self with these quotes I am not just strong or tough but I am the highest standard of strong and tough.  It propels me forward to finish my workout

Follow people who have already accomplished what you want to accomplish
