Extraordinary Friday is where I spotlight women doing awesome things in the community. I want to highlight ordinary women achievements to encourage women to extraordinary women. They can be teachers, business owners, or volunteers.

Let’s meet our Extraordinary Woman…

Bianca Ash is a dynamic and powerful mentor, speaker, leader, and entrepreneur focused on educating, equipping, and empowering young women across the world. She has worked with youth for more than ten years through her associations and volunteer work in her church and community. She understands the importance of having someone in your corner on this voyage we call life. She has committed her life to helping young women pursue their passion as well as position themselves for greatness. Her enthusiasm for seeing young women succeed and fulfill their purpose and destiny is what drove her to create Beautiful Legacy Inc.

 Beautiful Legacy Inc, is an organization created to motivate, inspire, and challenge young women to achieve their highest potential while building an inheritance for their future. She is a God-fearing woman who believes anything can be accomplished. Her sassiness and unconventional ways of getting her point across is what makes young women flock to her for advice and wisdom.

Bianca Ash is originally from Kansas City, MO and now resides in Atlanta, GA. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of West Georgia and Master’s in Public Administration from Strayer University. She is currently working on a Master’s in Youth Development from the University of Missouri Columbia. Bianca is dedicated to her mission of seeing every young woman become phenomenal and extraordinary in all areas of their lives. 

What makes you an Extraordinary Woman?

I believe what makes me an extraordinary woman is my ability to move past life’s challenges and still strive for my goals and dreams. In spite of hardships and tribulations I have still been able to go for what I want and achieve it.

Tell me more about your organization/business?

Beautiful Legacy Inc. is a nonprofit organization geared at educating, equipping, and empowering girls and young women meaning we give them knowledge, tools, skills, resources, and the inspiration and motivation to achieve their goals. We challenge them to look past what they see and see every opposition as an opportunity to do something new. We teach spiritual knowledge with practical application. We explain the why and show them the how.

How is your business/organization impacting women’s lives?

We are impacting women’s lives through our programs and workshops that are created to make each person take an inward look and realize the things that could be holding them back. We give them a foundation, a blueprint, and support system to guide their journey of leaving a legacy for the future. We are helping young women realize that they can do anything as long as you have faith and a plan.

What made you step out on Faith? What was your aha moment?

I stepped out on faith because I truly believed that there was someone that could benefit from the programs I created. I wanted to make a difference and help someone else achieve their goals. I have had many aha moments however the one that sticks out the most is looking into my goddaughter’s eyes and realizing that she needed more than her mother and I to help mold her into the woman she needs to be. I wanted to give her opportunities and experiences that some people would only dream about and if I felt like that about her how many other girls and young women needed to have those same experiences and opportunities as well.

What motivates you or drives you especially when things get a little hectic?

The biggest thing that motivates me is my faith and knowing that I have been called to lead a generation of girls and young women and if I don’t do it then who will. My goddaughter and the idea of having my own children someday is another motivation I want them to have programs and organizations that help not hinder them and give them the guidance they need as well as a sisterhood of people they can turn to if and when they can’t turn to me.

What obstacles have you had to overcome? How did you overcome them?

The biggest obstacles I had to overcome was myself and fear. At first I looked at all I could not do and forgot about the Creator who equipped me to do it. I feared everything from failure to success. I doubted my abilities and motives for wanting to do something like this. Finally one day I realized that it was so not about me, I had to get over myself and I had to get out of my own way. I realized I was trying to eat the whole puzzle at one time instead of taking it piece by piece and allowing the process to work for not against me.

How do you maintain Good Health?

I maintain good health by exercising and eating right. I also try and maintain my stress by journaling and saying no. I also don’t allow or tolerate negativity into my life because it can get you off focus and confuse what you’re trying to achieve.

What are your tried and true sho’ nuff steps to success?

My steps to success are trust God even when it looks impossible, surround yourself with great people who will tell you the truth,  believe in yourself no matter what, remember failure is a stepping stone to success and leap even when no one else is because God will always be there to catch you.

What is your legacy?  

My legacy is simply that I left people a little wiser, smarter, educated, equipped, empowered, blessed, loved, inspired, motivated, compassionate and therefor better than when they first met me.

The purpose of my blog is to encourage women to step out of their comfort zone and do something extraordinary. Whether it is volunteering, writing a book, starting a band, or reading to the elderly, I want to encourage women to be Extraordinary. To live their best life yet! What are some parting words of wisdom or nuggets of knowledge you want to leave with my readers?  

Never question or doubt the ability within you. We were all created for a purpose and you are more than equipped to do the things you want to do. Trust in God and believe in yourself and the impossible becomes possible. Also remember life is a puzzle it’s not our job to know what the whole picture will look like however it is our job to make sure that the pieces get put in the right place. Everything you need to make the puzzle come together is already in the box you just have to figure out which pieces go where and this may take time and patience however in the end it will all come together perfectly and when it is supposed to.
