Healthy Dating Ideas for St. Valentine’s Day

Losing Weight and Valentine’s Day can be kind of tricky.  I know we all want Hershey Kisses and romantic dinners but these things may not work well with our diets. Here are some alternative date ideas for the PHATSkinny Chic trying to maintain her health.

Roller Skating- Although I haven’t been a fan of Roller Skating since my college roommate made me bust my ass on that hard wood flow, I notice it is making a comeback among some of my friends.  It is a great workout and low impact on the joints. It also brings back nostalgia from your childhood when we all use to hang out at the skating rinks on Sunday Nights



Hiking- My all time favorite thing to do is hiking. It is a great way to enjoy nature and spend time with your sweetie poo.  Many natural trails have highlight points on the trail for people to enjoy. They also have picnic tables as well.  Lovers can pack some healthy snacks and get to know each other better.  My friend said she loves to go to Kennestone Mountain with her boo.




Steppin-Class- Recently my sister’s husband surprise her with Step Dancing Classes.  This is a perfect healthy date idea.  Couples can meet other couples and learn how to dance at the same time.  It was totally different and romantic.  She has not stopped talking about these classes since she went to them.  Call your local Recreation Department to see what classes they offer.
