A is for Advocate

In my past life, I was a Volunteer Coordinator.   I did this job for a homeless shelter and great organization which trained volunteers to advocate for children in the foster care system.  Both were great experiences.  While working on these jobs, I have also volunteered with my church and other organization.  I get a thrill out of helping people.  It does something to my spirit.  I love working with children.  Whenever I am having a bad day, I can be around a group of kids and my whole day is better.  I really thrive off volunteering.  I learned through my job and volunteer projects that helping someone else helps me. It improves the quality of life.  I knew I couldn’t create a business without involving a way to help people.  Being an advocate is one of the ways I sow seeds of Joy, Love, and Happiness

This year I will be gathering up of PHATSkinny Chic to volunteer to be fans in the stands for the Special Olympics.   I did it last year and had so much fun.  I can’t wait to do it again this May…be sure to follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter to find out how to join us for the Special Olympics
