Plus is Equal: Support the Movement

#PlusisEqual

As a woman who has been plus size most of her life, I find it sad that we deal with things such as fat shaming and body shaming.  I've never understood why people put others down to improve their self-esteem.  I constantly state to my friends, the media plays a huge part in what is seen as beautiful and acceptable in our community.  Well, finally some heavy hitters in the Plus Size Industry have decided to do something about it.  Plusisequal.com is a movement created to show Mainstream Media that plus size women deserve to be represented in television and movies.   The world's ready to see larger women positions of power and as sex symbols.  With more than half of the women in the US ranging from sizes 14-32, we need to see more plus size women represented in the media.
